Conservatory Types

There are a variety of conservatory types available from Glevum:

  • Sun rooms or garden rooms: A garden room can blend seamlessly in with a smaller, modern property bringing in the light all year round. These designs are often made to maximise space in a restricted area or in a section of a property that has height restrictions.
  • Traditional styles: A traditional styled conservatory can echo one of many elegant design styles – Victorian, Edwardian or Georgian with different choices of gable fronts and pitched roofs.
  • Contemporary: A contemporary styled conservatory can be a great way of bringing light into a modern space whether such an extension is used for dining, relaxing or even space for a gym or swimming pool.
  • Orangery: A design that brings together the lightness of double-glazed windows with additional brick built pillars and wall sections to blend in with the existing property. Often a feature of a more traditional home, these designs are becoming increasingly popular.

Georgian / Edwardian

Georgian / Edwardian conservatories offer a clean and simple look with strong bold lines. The hip fronted corners of the Georgian / Edwardian style conservatory give the optimum space for a given plan area and maximise the interior floor space.

Box Gutter

The utilisation of a box gutter allows the addition of a Victorian-style conservatory to an even wider range of dwellings. A box gutter allows the conservatory to abut the existing dwelling wall or to simultaneously drain the existing house and conservatory roof.

‘T’ shape Victorian

The T-shape Victorian allows maximisation of space and gives an attractive symmetrical appearance. A central projection highlights the shape and creates a ‘porch’ effect to the conservatory.

‘P’ Shape

Combining a mix of lean-to and Victorian styles, a ‘P’-shape conservatory is the ideal choice for the larger conservatory. The lean-to section can feature a gable infill frame or can be hipped back. A ‘P’-shape is ideal for creating maximum space whilst maintaining a sense of proportion in keeping with the existing dwelling.

Satisfied Customers

"I asked 5 company’s for quotes to fit a new back door and supply and fit a conservatory, Glevum were the only company to provide a quote. They have turned up on every occasion when they said they would and communicated well to confirm times. A very professional service throughout."

R Wilks (Cheltenham) - Apr'22

"Each aspect of Glevum’s service was very professional, from start to finish. From the initial visit to provide a quotation, followed by the surveyor, and finally the fitter. Like most people I was a little worried about the disruption of installation, but the fitter worked quietly and efficiently, problem solving along the way, tidied up at the end, and I am extremely pleased with the end result. Would highly recommend."

J Basden (Coleford) - Mar'22

"Very Accommodating initial contact in November and Glevum agreed to delay installation until the New Year. Good advice, very expertly measured up, even the large windows fitted within a few mm. The installation team worked through one of the gales and only returned for a couple of hours over the three days allocated to finish outside trim on four windows (out of 12). We are very pleased with the outcome..."

A Crowther (Cheltenham) - Feb'22

"I am very happy from start to finish with Glevum and would not consider going anywhere else for windows and doors and I would highly recommend."
