Glevum have been proudly improving peoples’ homes since 1984. The company has gone from success to success over these years and this timeline spotlights just some of the highlights in the “life” of Glevum.
1984
Glevum was founded by Gary Jones and started trading from the old Morelands match factory site off Bristol Road, Gloucester.
1997
Glevum’s advertising campaign “The Class Behind Glass” featuring Melinda Messenger helped launch her career as a model and TV presenter.
2000
Glevum moved to new purpose built premises at Broadoak, near Newnham on Severn. The offices, window and door showroom and conservatory village were officially opened by Emily Symons from Emmerdale Farm the popular TV programme.
Gary Jones won the Young Businessman of the Year Award in the Gloucestershire Business Awards.
Glevum won the UK Conservatory Company of the Year Award.
Glevum won the New Build Conservatory Company of the Year Award.
Glevum won the Information & Communication Technology Award in the Gloucestershire Business Awards.
2008
Glevum Design & Build became a Member of the Building Safety Group.
Glevum Design & Build achieved Safe Contractor Certification status.
Glevum Design & Build was awarded Gold Standard status under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme.
2010
Glevum became the first company to gain approval under a new industry scheme for window and door installers.
The new scheme developed by UK window group and inspected by the British Board of Agrement (BBA) was the first window and door approved installer scheme specifically designed for the new house-building market.
2012
Glevum became the first window and door company to become Green Deal accredited by FENSA, the well respected industry body.
2017
2017 saw Glevum win two major awards. In April Best of Gloucester users voted Glevum as their Business of the Year. Then in October at the Gloucestershire Business Awards, which are the largest awards of their kind in the country, Glevum picked up the Business of the Year Award.
2018
Work commenced on an extension to Glevum's Headquarters near Newnham on Severn.
